Chapter 34 - Chapter 32: Episode 31 - The Wedding Day
My healing ability could flush out the drugs accumulating in my system, but the effect was negligible.
I tried to neutralize them bit by bit, but the sheer volume of drugs being pumped into me was simply too high.
On top of that, Yu-rin had been ravishing me for twelve hours straight, leaving me no window to focus on the intense concentration required for my healing ability.
Even after she finished, the lingering effects of the drugs left my head in such a haze that I still couldn't manage to use my ability.
The cocktail of substances in my body had long since crossed the threshold I could reverse.
My drug-addled brain couldn't focus, and when I went too long without a dose, the withdrawal symptoms were so overwhelming that I couldn't even think straight, let alone use my power.
Once Yu-rin realized this, she changed tactics, deciding to feed me the drugs only after our sessions.
She found that a small dose after sex would resolve my withdrawal symptoms and actually sharpen my focus, so she used it as a way to "heal" my battered body once she was done with me.
At this point, I couldn't leave Yu-rin even if I wanted to.
I couldn't think about anything else.
My entire existence had been reduced to nothing but drugs and sex.
Lately, Yu-rin had been feeling a bit of regret.
It started after she saw Seon-ah acting like a half-mad wreck from the massive amounts of drugs she'd been feeding him.
However, the thoughts crossing her mind as she looked at his ruined state weren't exactly normal.
It wasn't that she felt guilty for what she'd done to him.
She just regretted that there were so many things she'd wanted to try on his body before he'd reached this point of total ruin.
Whether it was the drugs or his mind finally snapping, his reactions were nothing like they had been when she filmed that first video.
He was becoming increasingly unresponsive to her torment.
Lately, even when she ravished him to her heart's content, he wouldn't even moan, just staring at the ceiling with a blank expression. It was lovely in its own way, but it had definitely taken the fun out of it.
Whenever that happened, she would push him to the point of breaking, desperate to get the same reaction she'd seen at the beginning, but any spark of life was always fleeting.
Seeing Seon-ah so accustomed to both pain and pleasure, she regretted not experimenting more while he was still in his right mind.
Still, she had plenty of time left with him. She figured she'd just have to find a way to manage his addiction later and try to draw out that "first-time" reaction again.
Checking the time, it was time to film another video to "create memories" with Seon-ah.
Filming had become a daily ritual.
There were already fifty-four videos in her collection.
At first, she'd only film one, but seeing Seon-ah lost in a drug-induced haze, weeping and unfocused, turned her on so much that she'd end up ravishing him repeatedly, filming anywhere from one to five videos a day.
Lately, she'd been ramping up the intensity just to get a reaction out of him.
She even had a video where she'd forced him to watch the footage of his very first time being drugged and ravished.
Watching him stare with those blank eyes, only for tears to pour out and his "thing" to harden when he saw his past self—that was easily the best sex they'd had in a long time.
There was only one week left until the wedding.
She was growing impatient, desperate to take Seon-ah—who wasn't a married man yet—and ravish him to her heart's content.
Vowing to film several more videos today, she began packing a bag with various items to help elicit the reactions she craved.
If my parents or Seon-ah's parents ever found out about this, they'd beat me to death.
I'd be socially ruined, and my parents would probably disown me.
Still, what was done was done.
Isn't there a saying for this?
"It's already happened. There won't be another chance like this, so let's do it one more time before coming to our senses."
My situation was pretty similar.
Though I was doing it not just one more time, but dozens.
And those dozens would eventually become hundreds, maybe thousands.
Since we were both Awakened, we wouldn't age quickly, and our lifespans would far exceed those of ordinary people.
Seon-ah would keep his beautiful face, and I'd retain my stamina even when I was old.
Seeing how our mothers still looked like they were in their late twenties, long after becoming high-rank Awakened, that seemed like a safe bet.
Finally, the day we'd been waiting for arrived.
Seon-ah and Yu-rin were driving from dawn, passing through the tollgate and heading toward the wedding hall via the highway.
At 3 AM, theirs was the only car on the road.
To ensure he looked decent for the wedding, she hadn't touched him for two days.
Seon-ah, deprived of his drugs, had been depressed and listless, but when she promised him a fix if he acted normal, he'd managed to pull himself together enough to groom his appearance.
She figured she'd give him a tiny dose in the groom's waiting room while he was getting his makeup done.
It was a solid plan; a small amount would keep him acting normal for a while.
Yu-rin glanced at the navigation—about thirty minutes to the hall.
But that was when things went wrong.
A deafening roar echoed, and thick fog suddenly rolled in.
The car lost power and coasted to a stop, like something out of a horror movie.
The navigation died, and her phone wouldn't even turn on.
Yu-rin was flustered, but a memory flickered in her mind.
She struggled to recall what her mother had told her.
This was a precursor to a Gate opening.
The initial stage of a passage being torn open for monsters to invade.
She could see blue, wave-like light flickering through the fog.
This was dangerous.
She'd heard that once that light appeared, the Gate would fully form within five minutes, and the monsters would pour out.
She had to get Seon-ah and evacuate immediately.
"Seon-ah! Get out of the car, now! Run!"
"Okay."
She was frustrated by his sluggish, listless reaction, but she figured she could just grab his hand and sprint back the way they came.
That would get them clear of the area before the monsters arrived.
To make sure he could keep up, she pulled the drug she'd saved for later from her jacket pocket and shoved it into his mouth.
Seon-ah didn't react at first, but as soon as the bitter taste hit his tongue, life flooded back into his eyes and he swallowed it greedily.
She needed him to be sharp, even if only for a little while.
The wedding was the last thing on her mind now.
Survival was the only priority if they were going to have that happy life together.
The fog was thickening, closing in on them.
She had to move.
This was the radius where machines died and monsters thrived. If she got trapped in this fog, she was as good as dead.
Yu-rin grabbed Seon-ah's hand and started running toward the tollgate.
The blonde succubus with sheep horns felt nervous as she stared at the blue waves ahead; it was her first time going out.
Even though a high-level monster like her had little to fear, the "what ifs" kept gnawing at her.
She'd grown up hearing stories about "Hunters" in that world who slaughtered their armies, and she couldn't help but feel a tremor of fear.
Still, she calmed herself, thinking of how proud her mother would be if she "secured human resources" and earned some merit on her first outing.
With her nerves settled, she led her sixteen Orcs through the Gate and into the new world.
She took her first step and looked around.
A black-paved road stretched out in a straight line.
She took a deep breath; the air was musty, nothing like the air back home.
It felt heavy in her lungs.
She had a job to do.
She cast a spell to ensure nothing from their territory could easily escape.
"Orc platoon, wait here."
After giving the order, she flapped her wings and took to the sky to scout the area.
Even through the thick fog, she could perceive everything below as if the mist didn't exist.
As she climbed higher, she spotted tiny, human-like dots trapped by the edge of the fog, unable to get away.
"Found you."
Praying that the living things were men, she descended to relay instructions to the Orcs.
Then, she began her approach.
