Chapter 148 - Character Introductions (Chapter Six)
In addition to the new characters appearing from Chapter Six, here are the introductions for Kenooze and Boreas, whom I forgot to include last time. Sorry, Kenooze and Boreas...
・Kenooze
A retainer serving the Arqvist Baronet family. A rat beastman. Currently in his early 20s.
He was deployed to Barrel Fort as a conscript during the war with the Lancel Kingdom and fought alongside Noein. He lost his father, Jinozze, in the battles of that time, and after the war, he was welcomed into the Arqvist territory along with other conscripts.
Subsequently, he was appointed as a retainer of the Arqvist family as a representative of the beastmen, and under Edgar, he was given the role of organizing the farmers.
He has a serious personality, and initially felt hesitation about becoming a retainer so soon after migrating, but after being persuaded by Noein, he ultimately accepted.
・Boreas
A resident of the Arqvist territory. A lion beastman. Currently in his late 40s.
He was deployed to Barrel Fort as a conscript during the war with the Lancel Kingdom and fought alongside Noein. After the war, he was welcomed into the Arqvist territory along with Kenooze and other beastmen.
He originally served as the village chief in a beastman settlement, but being of a gentle and easygoing personality, he felt he was not well-suited for a leadership role.
Though not depicted in the story, he was consulted by Noein regarding the appointment of retainers from among the beastmen.
At that time, thinking that he was already of a certain age and not the type for being a retainer, and desiring to live peacefully as a simple farmer, he recommended Kenooze, who was young, capable, and had established a record in the war.
・Gustav
A puppet mage. Currently around 20 years old.
Originally employed by the royal family as a Royal Mage, he worked at the Kingdom Army Headquarters as military personnel.
In truth, he is one of the most skilled among the puppet mages in the military, but even so, his golem operation speed is merely slightly better than others.
He has a wife he is close with, but he was looked down upon by his wife's family (a lower-ranking court noble house) for being a puppet mage who couldn't get ahead in life.
Since being hired by Noein and coming to the Arqvist territory, he has begun to gain confidence little by little as he strives in training and produces results.
Due to his originally high skill level and the fact that he achieved results fastest during training, he is becoming a sort of leader for the seven puppet mages.
・Cecilia
A puppet mage. Currently in her mid-teens.
Originally employed by the royal family as a Royal Mage, she worked at the Kingdom Army Headquarters as military personnel.
She is the youngest among the seven puppet mages who migrated to the Arqvist territory, but her skill is second only to Gustav; among her comrades, she is a star of hope and a sister-like existence to everyone.
She has a sick mother, but since coming to the Arqvist territory and having her salary increase, she has been able to buy higher-quality medicine and have her mother treated by the experienced physician Selfers, so her mother's condition has improved considerably.
・Viowulf Rosbroke
Head of the Rosbroke Baron family. He holds territory slightly to the north of the southwestern region. Currently 22 years old.
Since the previous head, his father, died in battle during the conflict with the Lancel Kingdom, he succeeded the position at a young age.
He possesses an incredible talent for earth magic, and because he excelled in the war by exercising that talent, he was promoted in rank, though the scale of his territory itself is not that large, consisting of only one relatively large village.
He is a tall, handsome man, but is shy and has communication problems. In truth, he wants to avoid fighting, shut himself away in his territory, and live in peace.
・Dietlinde Kivileft
Wife of Count Maximilian Kivileft. She married into the family from a certain count's house in the northeastern region, an older wife two years senior to Maximilian.
Possessing an incredibly strong will, she intensely hated the concubine (Noein's mother) who bore Maximilian's child before her, as well as that son, Noein. The reason Noein came to live under house arrest in a detached residence was because this woman gave Maximilian those instructions.
She dotes on her only son, Julian.
・Julian Kivileft
Legitimate son of Count Maximilian Kivileft. Currently 16 years old (two years younger than Noein).
He is shallow-minded and has bad habits such as being genuinely delighted by flattery or immediately believing the words of others.
Furthermore, due to the influence of his parents, he is strongly imbued with the idea that "nobles are precious, commoners are lowly."
Because he received a high level of education, it is not that he is unable to study, but before that, his humanity is foolish. Also, like his father, he is ignorant of military matters.
・Ingrid Roadberg
Wife of King Oscar Roadberg III of the Roadberg Kingdom. Currently 28 years old.
The current queen, who married into the family from a ducal house located at the northern edge of the kingdom. She is a woman who was destined to become Oscar's wife from birth due to an arrangement between their parents, and because she received education to become queen, she does not deviate from the behavior and speech befitting that position.
The relationship between the couple is good, and given her position, she always tries to act in a way that supports Oscar.
